Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers wrapped up the U.S. leg of their 2012 Summer Tour in fine fashion in Austin on Saturday, rocking the sold-out Erwin Special Events Center on Cinco de Mayo.

Regina Spektor, the immensly talented New York City-based songstress who opened the 10 shows in the U.S., once again delivered an incredible set backed by her trio. Spektor has proven to be a more than capable opener for Tom and the band, captivating audiences with her unique, piano-driven pop songs and gorgeous voice. Safe to say many Heartbreakers fans are now Regina Spektor fans due to her incredible performances on this tour.

Tom and the band stormed the stage just before 9 pm to rapturous applause and cheers. Never ones to leave anything left in the tank, the Heartbreakers delivered the show of the tour, a great mix of songs powered by inspired playing by one of the best bands on the planet. "Free Fallin'" is almost always a glorious sing-a-long, but Austin gave it some added punch with the loudest audience vocals all tour. Mike Campbell was on fire all night, ripping solo after solo - including an absolutely monstrous one on "It's Good To Be King" - that brought smiles to the fans and everyone on stage. As if on cue, the skies opened shortly after the Heartbreakers' incendiary set, and Austin was deluged with an epic thunderstorm only found in the great state of Texas.

Canada, you're up next! See you in a few weeks and then on to Europe!

Who is opening for Tom Petty in Austin, Regina Spektor per my ticket stubs.

Just got my tickets. A little late, but better than not going at all. Have seen Tom in many cities throughout the years. I had the best seats in Sacramento, California, but the best venue was Red Rocks, Colorado. It's always a good show. Though it's awesome to be close, as long as you can hear the music you will love it! I will be surprising my husband with the tickets for our 31st anniversary. Can't think of a better gift for us both. It is going to be soooo coool. I can hardly wait!

I just won my Tom Petty tickets from BOB 103.5FM, with a chance for front-row tickets! I'm so excited!

The ticket vendor Texas Box Office sold out of presale tickets. They were having problems with their site and passwords usage. Not happy with the service they provided. Next time you go on tour Tom make sure your tickets sell with someone more reputable.

I just got my tickets for the Austin Show on May 5th.......Sixth row through the fan club. I will tell you that the bands are doing it right by having fan pre-sales. It insures that those down front are true fans...... I did thhis for Motley Crue as well and got tix on the 8th row... Well worth the money...

Unable to afford membership to get pre-sale code. I am hoping to get tickets on Friday...just 1 ticket. I am such a fan of TP&HB and this will be my 1st chance to see them. Please give a hint on the pre-sale code if possible. I understand this site should give 1st dibs to paying memebers but should also have a 2nd pre-sale or certain sections for non-paying members b4 sold to general public & 3rd party companies. Either way the concert will be well worth it but so many fans can not afford both.
