“Rebels” takes on a new life when played in the South.

Certain songs do that, whether they name-check specific places or have a feel about them.

At a packed RBC Arena in Raleigh, NC on Thursday night, Tom introduced the track from Southern Accents, eliciting a big cheer from Heartbreaker fans in North Carolina.

“It’s kind of a quiet song on my acoustic guitar,” he said, “but I promise you’ll get a cosmic reward at the end.”

By the time the last verse came around, the arena was silent, listening intently to Tom and the band wind down another classic.

“Even before my father's fathers
They called us all rebels
Burned our cornfields
And left our cities level
I can still see the eyes
Of those blue bellied devils
When I'm walking round tonight
Through the concrete and metal.
Hey, hey, hey (hey, hey, hey)
I was born a rebel
Down in Dixie (hey, hey, hey)
On a Sunday morning
With one foot in the grave,
And one foot on the pedal
I was born a rebel.”

No codes have been sent out yet. The fan club message boards say the same thing. The email will probably be sent out later tonight or early tomorrow morning.

It said that information would be sent out on May 22, 2014 with presale information.  I joined yesterday, May 21st and thought this qualified for "New Member pre-sale"  How can I learn about presale tix?  Thanks for help.
