St. Louis and 2nd Darien Lake, NY Show Announced

We are pleased to announce the addition of two more shows to the 2010 Tour.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers will return to the Verizon Wireless Music Center in St. Louis, MO on Sunday July 18. Tickets go onsale to the general public on Friday May 21 at 10am local and Highway Companions Club Presales begin Tuesday May 18. Drive-By Truckers will appear as special guest on this show.

The band will also play a second show at the Darien Lake Performing Arts Center in Darien Lake, NY on Saturday August 28, with special guest Crosby. Stills and Nash. Tickets for this show go onsale to the general public on Saturday June 12 and Highway Companions Club presales begin Wednesday June 9.

Nearly half a century ago, Duane La Fleche proposed in his weekly column in the Albany Times Union that the New York Philharmonic eschew an offer to make its summer residence in Stowe, Vermont and instead set up shop in Saratoga Springs. “It seems very wrong,” La Fleche wrote, “that a New York orchestra should have to look outside the State for a summer residence. Wouldn’t the State Reservation at Saratoga Springs make a nice location?”
