I Ain't Over Yet
I echo the comment of another who said earlier that if anyone regrets getting a ticket to this concert because Regina Spektor is opening for TPATH he'd gladly purchase it. The same goes for me, especially if it's the Atlanta show. Some from my company's main corporate office in Atlanta already got tickets and are going, and I'd like to join them if I could. You detractors of Ms Spektor have no clue what you're missing. Tom is one smart guy for choosing her.

carlij_petty10 - 22 January, 2012

Ive always had some kind of weird connection with some of her music. I just hope she sings "Samson"
megawatt1182 - 21 January, 2012
no
guess I'll be skipping the opening act ...disappointing
scottstieg - 19 January, 2012
Awesome!
Great! I'd be there if you were coming to Chicagoland.

Ugh.
I'm sure she's a popular choice for people who dot their i's w/ a heart. I am not one of those people.
PixieGirl - 19 January, 2012
STOKED!
I am super-excited about this!!! )Hence the number of exclamation marks). Don't let the haters get you down, Regi.
Catherine9979 - 19 January, 2012
Jealous!
Regina is a phenomenal artist and even better live! Wish this tour was coming to Philadelphia.

Excellent choice...
This will be my 10th time seeing TPATH and I'm so glad to hear(read) that Regina will be opening. I think she's the perfect choice! While I enjoyed seeing The Black Crowes, Steve Winwood, and CSN, I think Regina is a much more relevant, unique choice.

SO EXCITED
I have been dying to see Regina for years. If TPHB comes anywhere near me I very well may go just to see her. She is amazing talented and will bring A LOT to the concerts. Tom Petty is lucky to have talent like her open for him.
Frightattendant - 19 January, 2012
Very happy!
Sure, she's a different choice, but it's good to have variety at concerts. It'd be lame to just have a TPHB soundalike band up there before the actual band. Also, I love her voice. It's all soft and sweet without being sugarcoated candy pop. Kinda folky, actually. Not to be sexist by remarking on the looks of a female performer, but those eyes.....and DEM LIPS! Yeah, I'm glad I bought tickets. A choice from left field, TPHB, but a good choice.
Meikgeik - 19 January, 2012
Regina Spektor opening for them will be a big factor in why I will see them in May. Be grateful that in this age of "Musicians" that only know how to make music with their mouse and computer keyboard, that you're getting someone who knows how to actually sing and play instruments. I've seen far far far worse opening acts for more successful bands. If you're regretting your purchase, I'll gladly buy your tickets if you're near me.
Holly100 - 19 January, 2012
Hooray!
Love Tom Petty, but I adore Ms. Spektor. If only they were coming to western New York or Toronto. Sigh.
Tutsuro - 19 January, 2012
Jealous
Man, wish I was gonna be anywhere around these cities for this time. Tom Petty and Regina Spektor would be sweet.
CarlyB - 19 January, 2012
Really?
Ditto honeybee.
carls1kr - 19 January, 2012
bummed
Oh, I am so bummed! I was hoping you would be doing a show near PA! I can't make it to your benefit show and I've wanted to see you more than anything for years and years. waaa I'm about to move to California and i fear i will never have the chance to see you live.
ohmybabydoll - 19 January, 2012
Luckily..
it's not about the opening act. I would be just as happy with no warm up act. Either way I can't wait!!!
dreamygreenie - 19 January, 2012

honeybee32068 - 19 January, 2012
Not happy
This is not the type of open act I would expect from TPHB. Too bad I already paid for my tickets. Next time I know better.
