'Mojo' in Rolling Stone
Check out the current "In Fricke's Rotation" column in Rolling Stone where senior editor David Fricke calls Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers' forthcoming album Mojo "one of the best (Petty's) ever made."
Mojo will be released June 15 and a download of the album is included with every ticket purchased to the 2010 Tour.

Good Enough for Right Now
But...can't wait to hear the whole fantastic cd...and also love First Flash of Freedom...wow. He has definitely still got it goin on. Was a little worried because I didn't love his appearance on Saturday Nite Live, but I love love love love this new music!
Hope he plays some of his lesser-known oldies on this tour too...like Spike from Southern Accents!

I hear it too...
"First Freedom" is every perfect note, exceptional lyric & visual adventure that Tom has ever created all shook up in a blender full of jazz. It is so TPHB, like one song with a piece of everything he has ever written within it, musically & lyrically. The songs we have heard so far leave us wanting the rest. See you in Chicago Tom right in front of your mic stand! And thanks for just being you. |

love the name
Mojo sounds great so far, and I love the name. I hope Mike brings his '59 Les Paul on tour....but then again, he might have to hire a bodyguard for the guitar. I shall volunteer. |

I've been reading Fricke's column for a long time, and I am SO excited to hear the rest of the album. Usually, when it comes to classic rock, Fricke and I have similar taste. YAY! |
