I managed to get tickets in the back for myself,my sister and my 23 y/o niece for nova scotia,and then added a travel package.It's gonna cost 700.00 to fly and i'm so petrified of planes...but i've loved tom forever.
if you see some crazy blondes trying to get closer to the stage..that would be us.!!!Can't wait !!!!

Hey TP and company. What's with the ridiculous prices on tickets in Canada? The best tickets for the Florida shows are $89, and in Halifax they are $194. When Pearl Jam came through Halifax tickets were like $50, granted PJ are not Tom Petty, but they both play for approximately the same size audiences around the world..... what's the deal Petty Corporation?

Some people are complaining of how they were not able to get good seats to see Tom Petty. I was not taking the chance of being too choosy for seats because this concert will definitely be a sell-out and we will probably never see him return to Halifax in the near (or maybe never) future.
I got two seats in the lower part of the Upper Bowl....perfect view of the stage.
I've been trying to get more tickets this morning and can't get onto the website because of the overload of others doing the same thing.....so glad I got them yesterday, otherwise I wouldn't have been able too.
So....no complaints from me. I'm just happy to be in the same room with Tom Petty....so damn excited.

Had no problem getting pre-sale today, just had to exercise a little patience and keep trying. Got perfect LB tickets this morning at about 1015 and then bought some pretty decent ones for my friend at about 1530. No problemo...

Everyone attacked the tickets at the same time so it may have appeared sold out at first had to keep trying. I thought the pre-sale was fine and with out problems.

It's true! Awesome tickets still available. My hubby rejected the seats that came up 5 times before we settled on 10th row. Can't wait for the concert! We saw Tom on our first weddng anniversary and will now be seeing him for our fifth! I am more excited this time because I know how amazing this show is going to be!!!

It's 3:40 pm Halifax time on Tues and I can still buy a pair of floor seats. What gives with the complaints?

It didn't sell out in 15 seconds. You had to keep trying. I got my tickets in the 10th row 20 minutes into the sale by rejecting the bad seats and trying again until I got ones I was happy with. I'm guessing they release them in dribs and drabs because my first attempt put me in the upper bowl.
Pre-Sale was Solid
I'm not sure what all the complaining is all about or how the 15 second sell out thing got started. I got in and took me about 10 tries over 5mins and finally got through and snagged tickets, probably the best ones I have ever had at the Metro Centre too. This was well worth the membership price.
Presale and Price
Just want to say I had a good experience with the presale. I didn't get front row or anything but I did get the opportunity to buy in advance of the public. Thanks for that opportunity. For all you whiners about ticket prices, stop down loading music for free illegally!!!!! You have nearly put the music business out of business. The only way an artist can make anything close to what they are worth is through live shows. I'm honoured to be able to be in the presence of one of the greatest American song writers of our time. Thanks TPATHB for all your hard work. It's a long lonely road!

Tom Petty in my mind one of the greatest rock artists in the world. However i am blown away it has taken this city that long to line a show up like this. The Prices are INSANE! For my family to see thier favorite band of all time its gonna cost us over 1000 dollars from ticket atlantic for a 4-5 hr show this close to xmas? Jeeze! I dont mind dropping the 45 membership fee but i was hoping maybe membership prices?? i guess not... i may or may not go based on all this when the last big names came our way prices were either less or around half price of these tickets.... not good.
