During “You Don’t Know How It Feels” in Hartford, CT on Wednesday night, Tom was preparing to take a guitar solo after the final verse when Benmont Tench III launched into a beautiful solo on his Steinway concert grand piano on stage right.
The surprise may have caused a musical traffic jam onstage for most bands, but not with Tom and guys. Looking up from his Stratocaster, Tom glanced across the stage at Benmont as he unwound his solo and simply pointed at his long-time bandmate and friend and smiled. These guys are having so much playing together again.
Just another tiny little moment that’s made this 40th Anniversary tour so special.
