Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers hit Germany for the second time on the 2012 Summer Tour, playing to a packed house at the Lanxess Arena in Cologne having hit Hamburg earlier this month.

With all the guitars onstage, it'd be easy for Benmont Tench to get lost in the mix, but the Hearbreakers keysman is always on top of it, whether he's on the organ providing a nice steady foundation for the rest of the band to play on top of or if he's over on the grand piano offering a foil to Mike or Tom.

It was most apparent Sunday night on "Runnin' Down A Dream," a song so associated with guitars that Tom and Mike play a specific kind of guitar - Gibson Firebirds - on it.

Benmont was an absolute mad man on "Runnin' Down A Dream" on Sunday, pounding out a counter-melody on the piano that married perfectly with the rest of the band.
