Fenway Park
Boston, MA
August 30, 2014
Half an hour before show time, Richard Fernanadez stepped up the staircase at stage left and looked out over Boston’s Fenway Park.
“I’ve been with these guys for a long, long time, and this is the biggest headlining gig outside of a festival I’ve ever done with ‘em,” the long-time Heartbreakers tour manager said as he looked out over the 36,000-plus that gathered in one of America’s most famed baseball cathedrals.
And did Tom and the guys ever deliver! From the opening notes of “Rock ‘n Roll Star” to the post-encore fireworks display, Saturday night at Fenway Park was like something out of a dream. A beautiful, enormous dream.
