Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers kicked off the third leg of the Mojo Summer Tour in Hot -Lanta Wednesday night, teaming up with David Crosby, Stephen Stills and Graham Nash for an epic night of music that provided a glimpse into what the next few weeks of shows will hold for these rock legends.

All of the openers on the Mojo tour so far have brought something unique to the table: the soulfulness of Joe Cocker, ZZ Top's swagger and the raw fire of the Drive-By Truckers have all brilliantly complemented the Heartbreakers' show. If the first night is any indication, CSN's 90-minute set - ranging from their more mellow acoustic songs to their more rockin' electric numbers - is going to provide a splendid foil for the headliner.

With a week of rest since their last show in Philadelphia, Tom and the band were in fine form in Atlanta, ripping through "Listen to Her Heart" and "You Don't Know How It Feels" before settling in on "I Won't Back Down." The Mojo miniset continues to impress, drawing more and more cheers each night as the new songs begin to engrain themselves with the fans. Chuck Berry's "Carol" was brought back out again for the encore, the perfect nod to one of the band's heroes and rock's elder statesman while serving as the ideal segue way between "Runnin' Down a Dream" and "American Girl."
