First of all, I love TP and all he stands for. Huge fan but I do think the person who handles his Twitter/Instagram accounts should realize that posting a set list for last night's show with burn marks on it as an attempt at humor missed the mark. It immediately brought back memories of the Station nightclub fire in Rhode Island that killed hundreds. Tom's home was destroyed by arson and he has gone on record as saying that nothing scares him more than fire and he won't even mention the word in a song. Yes, I understand there was no fire but I just don't see the humor in it.
I certainly feel sorry for all those in attendance. I can imagine the frustration of having a show come to a sudden end 2/3rds the way though. This one is interesting because it seems to have been caused by human error as opposed to human nature. Shows have been cut short before. Atlanta was delayed 1 hour on the 2006 tour due to electrical problems by a thunderstorm earlier in the day and was forced to end at the 11pm curfew so only half the set list was played. Indianapolis was cut short by a thunderstorm as well with Tom stating "I got to get you guys out of here, sorry". No refunds are given for that. Concerts have been cut short due to illness by artists all the time. Somebody screwed up on this one. I don't think refunds will be given nor do I think they will add another show to make up for this. My guess is the apology is going to be it but I think a fair thing would be, since the new album is coming out next year and I am sure a tour with a LA date will be on it, to give a voucher for that.
