While I would gladly trade the refund for the opportunity to see the 30 or so minutes that would have been the rest of the show, I appreciate the effort, cost and dedication to the fans that resulted in the refund. I hope I get an opportunity to see TPATH in such an intimate event again some time soon, it was an AMAZING 90 minutes.
I see we finally got a reply from The Fonda (Goldenvoice)......
Wow, talk about a Heartbreaker. Last nights show will be one of, if not thee, most memorable concerts I have ever attended. From the ultimate high of seeing Tom & The Heartbreakers in such an intimate setting and having them perform at the absolute top of their game to then be sent to the depths of hell when the LA Fire Marshal called for the abrupt, bitter and gut wrenching ending. My heart bleeds for all my fellow fans in attendance, I share in your grief. To Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, thank you for the performance of a lifetime. To The Fonda Theatre and the LAFD, shame on you for ending it as you did, it is simply unacceptabe.
At least all the shows so far had a planned ending, certainly not the case for the June 8th show. VERY dissappointed with the LA Fire Marshal that actually shut down the show and with The Fonda for allowing a situation that called for it.
