My husband and I drove in for Sunday nights concert. We met our 23 year old son and 3 of his friends to attend the concert. This would be the first TP concert for my son and 2 of his friends. His other friend has been to about 6 other TP concerts. Although I LOVE TP's voice, the band it tight and the musical talent is beyond words, I didn't enjoy this concert as much as I thought I would. I guess I thought there weren't enough of his "hits" or more recognizable songs. My son and his friends agreed. I am also sorry to say that we weren't the only ones who felt like this. We stayed at the Beacon Hotel so just walked next door to bar after the concert. ALL the people we heard there were saying things like "worse concert I ever attended", "this concert was for him, not his fans", "can't believe I paid out the nose for this concert".....what a shame. We met a guyf rom Sweden who said he just attended Paul McCartney in Sweden who played way longer and "connected" with his audience way more and 2 nights ago saw a concert in NJ in Asbury Park that was WAY cheaper and much better. I feel bad for my son and friends who were looking forward to their first TP concert but didn't get a great experience and missed so many of the songs they loved. When they did play their more familair songs, I am pretty sure you could have heard the audience joining along all the way in the BRONX!!!!!! Also, not too happy about the 25 minute late start. It is disrepectful when members of the audience show up that late so why isn't it also disrespectful for the entertainment to show up that late?! Shame......On a much lighter note....the concert shirts are FABULOUS!!! Great fabric, soft, comfortable and great designs....glad I got one!
