Someone actually told me that he had never seen me so happy as when I hear Tom Petty & Heartbreakers music. My entire personality transforms. I can honestly say that listening to their music does change me for the better. I have not been in a fan club since I was a kid in the laste 60's and early 70's when I belonged to the Elvis Pressley Fan club. Geez, telling my age.
Listening to great Rock and Roll. Sharing my love for music with my grandbabes. Taking long drives-when time permits (and I can afford the gas) cutting my grass, keeping the radio on channel 111 so I can listen to TP and the HB's. I still work for a living so who has time for hobbies, really?
Obvious since I am on this page. Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, (I doubt I will ever get tired of their music) The Traveling Wilbury's. Beachboys, Beatles, Creedence Clearwater Revival, The Rolling Stones, Electric Light Orchestra, The Birds, The Mamas and the Papas, Bob Segar and the Silver Bullet Band, ZZ Top, Bauchman Turner Overdrive, man, I could go on but the music from these bands stand out to me in particular. I love good rock with a good dance beat and also songs with good harmonies.
Favorite Concert You've Been To:
Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers but the year escapes me, think it was late 90's or ealry 2000's. The older I get, the more the years seem to run together. The band was performing in Charlotte, NC at the Lowes ampitheater. Outdoor concerts are the best although the first time I saw them was on one of my birthdays when I was in my early or mid 30's. My husband surprised me with tickets for a concert they gave in Columbia, SC. I loved every song they sang and developed a major crush on Tom-which I have still never gotten over. I do have to say that seeing TP and the HB's is way up on the top 10 list but Elvis Pressley would have to be the favorite as far as an indivdual performer goes.
Don't do Twitter or Facebook. I do have a life and still like some anonymity to go along with it.
