    Tom produced Chris Hillman's latest album, "Bidin' My Time," which closes with Chris' version of "Wildflowers."

    Relix Magazine is premiering a live video of Chris Hillman performing "Wildflowers" as a tribute to Tom, at The Troubadour on October 23, 2017.

    The Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers 40th Anniversary Tour swept all the major awards at Thursday night’s 29th Annual Pollstar Awards – an awards program for the concert industry.

    The band won Major Tour of the Year, and Rock Tour of the Year, overcoming competition that included U2, Coldplay, Bruno Mars, Roger Waters, Metallica, and more. Benmont Tench and Steve Ferrone were on hand to accept the awards on the band’s behalf.

    Tony Dimitriades, longtime manager of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers, also won Manager of the Year.

    Congratulations to the Tom Petty & The Heartbreakers road crew for a sweep of this year's Parnelli Awards, announced last Friday at the NAMM Show in Anaheim, CA! The Parnelli Awards are the "Oscars" of the Live Event industry, a night when the spotlight shines on those individuals who spend their careers behind the scenes. Hats off to the best crew in the business!

    The 2018 GRAMMY Awards® show will include a special performance tribute to Tom by Chris Stapleton and Emmylou Harris!

    The 60th Annual Grammy Awards ceremony will be held this Sunday January 28.

    Catch the awards show live beginning at 7:30 pm ET/4:30 pm PT on CBS.

    Our family sat together this morning with the Medical Examiner – Coroner’s office and we were informed of their final analysis that Tom Petty passed away due to an accidental drug overdose as a result of taking a variety of medications.

    Unfortunately Tom’s body suffered from many serious ailments including emphysema, knee problems and most significantly a fractured hip.

    Despite this painful injury he insisted on keeping his commitment to his fans and he toured for 53 dates with a fractured hip and, as he did, it worsened to a more serious injury.

    On the day he died he was informed his hip

    Your condolences have been a life saver for me. This has been so surprising and devastating for me and the band as I know it has been for you. It will take a long time before I get over this. I will carry on for myself and all of you who love the music. I feel your love and am forever grateful for your support all these years. Remember, without you, all of our devoted fans, there would have been no Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers. Tom will always be here on my right shoulder urging me on to keep the dream alive and inspiring me with his spirit.

    On behalf of the Tom Petty family, we are devastated to announce the untimely death of our father, husband, brother, leader and friend Tom Petty.

    He suffered cardiac arrest at his home in Malibu in the early hours of this morning and was taken to UCLA Medical Center but could not be revived.

    He died peacefully at 8:40PM PST surrounded by family, his bandmates, and friends.
