Sorry about the loss. I have a gibson double cutaway with P90's you can borrow if you need it. It's just the slab model with the faded cherry finish but it's in good shape. No charge, I play acoustic mainly so I won't miss it. Yeah, I want it back when your finished with it though.

How about a reward to beat the people who took the guitars......those guitars will show up right away!!!!!!!!!

It's really sad to hear about this so close to the start of the tour. Having seen the band for over 25 years it should have been reported that someone also stole Tom's writting skills as its been a long time since any new music sounded good.

Here are three resources which I KNOW have aided in the recovery of stolen guitars in the past: http://www.stolenguitarregistry.com/ http://www.acousticmusic.org/Links-Stolen-Instrument-Registries-sp-70.html Facebook Musicians Registry (many recoveries & awesome resource in general): https://www.facebook.com/groups/271515575879/ Hope this helps. But, I believe God has a special place for folks who do this. Best of luck, Olivia Anne

What a way to start a tour - its so sad that folks cant keep their hands off stuff that just is not theirs. No honor. No respect Heartbreakers I'll be praying for the consciences of the thieves - you guys are much too kind to offer a reward with no questions asked. We love you guys!

so lame. i am believing you will get them back.

I live in R.I. but have contacted my family who live in the L.A. area. My brother is a musician and said he will certainly spread the word to his fellow musicians. In the meantime I'm praying really hard that you get these precious guitars back. I hope this low life doesn't realize what they've got and try to sell to the local guitar shop...they'll get nabbed for sure! Best of luck guys! XO

I will keep ask my radio listeners http://emms.podbean.com/ and our fans to keep up here in Canada in case the guitars come up this way. Good luck TP and HBR

Shame on whoever did this - must have been very desperate, a totally mislead fan or a hater of Rock'n'Roll! Bring back the guitars, take the money and change your way of dealing with your wants!

Having recently lost two guitars in a burglary, I know how horrible you guys must feel. A great guitar is sonething more than an everyday object; it becomes part of your life. I think that instrument theft should be treated like horse theft was in the old west; a short rope and a tall tree!

what a truely uncool thing to do...

I'm sure they'll turn up. Hopefully sooner and not later. Most reputable dealers will know what that have if these come in their store. (specially the duece)

If I knew who did it, I wouldn't even care about a reward. I would drag their monkey asses to the pokey myself. And I hope they find out why it's called "the pokey"!!!

I am heartbroken over this. I cannot believe some low life, scumbag would steal these! Those guitars have brought passion, joy and love to this worlds ears and to be robbed of them is just a sin. Damn them to hell!! You guys are Rock Gods and the Concert Halls are our church's, the spirit will never die!!!! I hope whoever is responsible for this has a half a heart and gives them back!

I'm so sorry for what happened. I hope that you get back everything before the start of the tour.

What a terrible thing for someone to have done...but I can't believe it was a fan. Why would a fan do such a thing? It must be someone who wants to make money, surely. So if anyone comes up to you and says psst, wanna buy Tom Petty's Rickenbacker, just you call Detective Grant right away. I do so hope they will be recovered. Lots of love and good luck. I will see you in 3 weeks! (Blimey!)

I cannot even begin to fathom that these cherished guitars are in anyone's possession other than Tom, Mike, Scott and Ron. Sending good MOJO your way, that they are recovered quickly and returned so that the magic played on them continues to enthrall generations of Heartbreaker fans for years to come.

Check Craigslist. Or shop for some new guitars. Don't let these turkeys get you down. Have an awesome tour! :-)

I am so sorry to hear about this, guys. I will think good thoughts that you'll get these treasured instruments back. I don't normally condone acts of violence against others, but since I'm referring to nothing more than knuckle-dragging neanderthals--I hope somebody beats the shit out of them with their own clubs.

Only a dirtbag would steal a man's tools. I hope no harm comes to these precious babies and I hope they come home soon. How could this have happened in the first place?

I am so sorry.......very uncool!
