Second KCSN Benefit Show At Cal State Northridge, CA Added For October 30
We are pleased to announce that Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers will play a second benefit show for KCSN 88.5 on Sunday, October 30.

Like the first show on October 29, the second engagement on October 30 will take place at the 500-seat Plaza del Sol Performance Hall, on the campus of Cal State University, Northridge, CA.

Tickets are extremely limited and will cost $157.50 per ticket ($150.00 plus $7.50 to cover credit card and other service fees). There is a strict two ticket limit per person and every seat in the venue, no matter where it is located, is a great seat.

There are three ways to get tickets:

    1. A portion of the tickets will be made available to Highway Companions Club members and allotted via a ticket request lottery.

To enter the lottery to purchase tickets, Highway Companions Club members should fill out the ticket request form during the ticket request period.

The ticket request period for the second show lasts for one day only from 12:01am PDT on Sunday, October 23 until 11:59pm PDT on Sunday October 23. You will need to sign into your Highway Companions Club account to access the lottery entry page. You must be a Highway Companions Club member to visit the ticket request page and enter the lottery.

Please note: If you are a Highway Companions Club member and entered last Friday's lottery to attempt to purchase tickets to the first benefit show but did not win, you are automatically entered into the lottery for tickets to the second show. You do not need to enter the lottery again to attempt to get tickets for the second benefit show.

If you are a member who won the first lottery and has already purchased tickets to the first concert from the Highway Companions Club, you will not not be re-entered into the lottery for the second show so other members may have a better chance to get tickets.

Every Highway Companions Club member who entered either last Friday's lottery, or who enters the lottery this coming Sunday, has an equal chance at winning the lottery and getting an opportunity to purchase tickets.

If your name is chosen at random from the lottery entrants, you will be sent a dedicated link no later than Tuesday, October 25th that you can use to purchase your tickets to the second show on October 30. The Highway Companions Club tickets for the first show are now sold out.

You will also be informed no later than Tuesday if you did not win the ticket lottery.

    2. Tickets will also be available via phone pledges direct to KCSN at a cost of $300 for each pair of tickets. KCSN will be taking the orders for these tickets directly over the phone at various times over on Saturday October 22 and Sunday October 23. Listen to KCSN then for your opportunity to call in and pledge. More information about purchasing tickets via phone pledges to KCSN can be found at KCSN.org.

    3. Also, a small number of orchestra pit tickets for the second show will be available via an auction benefitting KCSN. These tickets will be sold to the highest bidder with all proceeds going directly to KCSN. The auctions have begun and will end on Tuesday October 25 at auctions.kcsn.org and you must already be a paid member of KCSN to access these auctions. Please note that the KCSN auctions for BOTH shows will now end on October 25.

    Please note:

    * No tickets will be sent out in advance.

    * Tickets will be available for pick-up at the Plaza del Sol Performance Hall at California State University, Northridge after 6:00pm on the day of the show.

    * Doors to the venue open at 7:00pm and the show time is 7:30pm. Ticketholders will receive a wristband to enter the venue upon checking in at the venue will call desk the night of the show. The name on the will call list will be the same as the name on the credit card used to purchase tickets and must match the name on your photo ID. No exceptions.

    * Ticket purchase links for lottery winning Highway Companions Club members are good for the winning members of the lottery only. If any person other than the lottery winning Highway Companions Club member tries to use the link to purchase tickets, the order will be cancelled immediately and the ticket opportunity extended to another member.

Wow...I never when anything....and it was my birthday .....so I jumped at the opportunity to enter the lottery....checked the email all day Tuesday and at midnight I had not rece'vd any "Sorry" so at 1 am Wed. it said I had been selected!!! What a great Bdy present!!!... Was a great evening..the venue was great, the openings were great.....but the Heartbreakers rocked!! They played a lot of Mojo and some other old songs they really never play... I do think Tom was a little buzzed though!!! But he still hit the mark!! Thanks for a great opportunity Tom.....great cause!!!

We were two of the fortunate who got to see Tom last night. All I can is that it was wonderful concert. From the opening act, Lissie, to Dylan Jakob(The Wallflowers and Everest, and of course Tom and the Heartbreakers. We got to sit in row B, center stage in a great venue. Loved the intimacy of the Plaza Del Sol performance hall. Thanks to Tom, Cal State Northridge and to KCSN for a fantastic time.

I checked my spam and regular inbox and never received an email telling me if I was chosen or not for the lottery. This entire process may need some rethinking if you do it again. I hope the concerts go great! Wish I could be there.

Luckily was able to see the phenomenal oracle show. Amazing night. Very much wish I could come over the pond and experience these very special shows this week-end. Those who get to go are very lucky!

If you read some of the boards the people who won the tickets through the drawing and the radio were mainly the people who get on here all the time. I have seen Tom a total of 8 times now, and every time in the first row. With the exception of one time, I normally surprise someone at the ticket counter or at random and ask them if they want to join me front row and become long time friends with them. This past tour in 2010 they all contacted Tom's Management team and told them of my charity and great influence in their lives and asked if they would allow me to meet Tom. They were shot down, upset them a lot, they were trying to repay me in the greatest way possible. Yet I go to the show in 2010 do the same thing, met a guy named Josh and got behind 3 British women with backstage passes. How does that happen? I seen Tom twice last year paying a total of $1200 for two tickets at the Nashville and Charlotte NC show just to hear the same song list? If they do go on tour this year I will have to rethink whether it is worth it or not. Maybe I will go once but not twice hearing the same line up. It makes concerts boring by being predictable Tom!

I was actually contacted last evening that I could purchase auction tickets since I was the next highest bidder. However, it is so late now..I can't get a flight at a reasonable price and with the cost of the tickets --just isn't doable anymore. If you do this again.....please allow more time between the finding out about tickets and the actual show date. Those of us on the other coast have a difficult time planning a trip at the last minute.

I entered, figuring i had nothing to lose. I don't ever win this type of thing. Guess what? I'M GOING TO LA FOR THE SUNDAY NIGHT SHOW!!!!! The rock and roll MOJO was working for me. Thank you so much

didnt win , really wanted to go, got my tom petty fix at the oracle this year, i think a fillmore show should be next?

I logged in right at midnight thnking that would increase my odds and then didn't bother for the second opportunity of which I received a response once again "thanks but you didn't get selected". How is it I received this auto response when I didn't even enter the 2nd time? What troubled me about this offer is you didn't disclose how many fan club tickets were truly available in the first place. I am in Marketing and quite frankly you did a piss poor job setting expectations for this. Randomly selected? Bullshit. Tom, I am shocked you would support this. I love you but very disappointed.

Further to my previous comment - the email just came. And you don't want me? That's terrible.

It's now Wednesday, even in California, and I'm wondering whether people who'd been unsuccessful in the first lottery really did get entered automatically for the second one. Or has there been a cock-up, as we say over here in the UK? You know, I'd have entered again, if you hadn't told me I didn't need to...

I haven't got any email, re the comp, what's happening ? i need to book plane tickets from Australia if I win ( I will do it). :) pmp

No email yet on the 2nd ticket lottery. What's going on? Anyone get an email today?

I thought we were supposed to hear something either way...still no news! Very frustrating!!! Impossible to get airline tickets at the last second you know! I am very disappointed in the HCC ...and I have been such a supporter until now. I tried the radio call ins...kept being put on hold and tickets were gone once I spoke to someone. The auctions were sooo expensive once you add flights and hotels. Guess these shows are not for out of towners.......I am very disappointed!! Maybe being a member is not worth the cost anymore.....

I am very upset about the Tom Petty ticket charity auction. Twice today I placed bids on a pair of tickets and was the highest bidder. The auction had 30 minutes to go and then suddenly the auction had 2 hours and 30 minutes. I have never heard of any auction adding time to gouge the prices. I have no problem donating a large sum of money to this seemingly great new station and supporting what I though was a new place to listen to music, but now I feel as if your station is the same old stuff. Just looking for money and having no respect! I will make sure to tell all my friends Not to listen to your new station and relay the story of your rigged auction. It's very sad how 88.5 decided to handle this great Tom Petty event.

When do we find out if we have won the lottery. It would have been nice to know around the auction time. Thanks!

I entered the second lottery and have been patiently waiting for either a ticket link or email saying I was not chosen. It is Tuesday 4 pm Eastern time and am wondering when the news will be known. I figure it will be on Pacific time frame but any thoughts on how late emails will be sent is appreciated!
