    The 40th Anniversary Tour is in full swing five shows into the first leg, and Tom and the guys are really hitting their stride. So are English duo Charley and Hattie Webb, aka The Webb Sisters, who have joined this tour on background vocals.
     
    They sound wonderful backing up the guys on “Mary Jane’s Last Dance,” “Don’t Come Around Here No More,” and “Runnin’ Down A Dream,” but nowhere are they more prominently felt than on “Free Fallin’,” where Charley & Hattie’s gorgeous background vocals during the choruses floating dreamily behind Tom’s lead. It’s a magical moment in the show.

Absolutely amazing show, LOVED the set list with songs from the many albums. I relished seeing Mike and Tom play the vintage guitars and some I've seen only in videos before... what a remarkable sound. The band was unified, in fine form and full of good vibes. What a treat to have been there that night, and from the front row too. I might quit grinning but it won't be any time soon.

Lackluster show, no surprises. Band was tight and the backing vocalists helped. However, there was noting engaging about the show. Only played 1:50; could have played a few covers and had a bit of fun? Anyway, thanks for the effort. Tom, perhaps you could just phone it in next time.

I have tickets to Indy and Chicago shows and I hope there are a few changes in the set list as well! I know all the songs will be great but was looking forward to a few more cuts from the first album and some of the classics. Fooled again, luna, even the losers etc. Still lookin forward to two great shows. Never been let down yet! Rock on TPHB's !!

40th anniversary tour ? really ? it should be the full moon fever/ wildflowers tour. every article i read had me thinking the band was going to dig in to some deep tracks and classics, I'm not excited about that set list at all, come on guys, you have been closing every concert with , you wreck me and american girl for the last 12 years, huge fan but really disappointed , here's to women in love and even the losers, remember jammin me , i do. You would think the band is even tried of playing Learning to fly and I won't back down. I was expecting a really different set list this year , especially since i have not missed a Tom Petty tour in 35 years, and now this might be the last , and your gonna play Walls and It's good to be king, 'I need to know' , get it, Why ?????
