    This year’s Petty Fest will take place at the Bowery Ballroom in New York City on October 28.

    Presented by The Cabin Down Below Band in celebration of Tom Petty and The Heartbreakers, Petty Fest 2010 will feature the following special guests: Adam Green, Norah Jones, Will Forte & Jason Sudeikis Of Saturday Night Live, Nicole Atkins, Nikolai Fraiture of The Strokes, Catherine Pierce, Jesse Malin, Tyson Ritter of The All American Rejects, Reeve Carney Star of U2’s Spiderman Musical, Jody Porter of Fountains Of Wayne, Sammy James of The Mooney Suzuki, Steve Schiltz of Hurricane Bells & Longwave, Antony Elis of Five O’Clock Heroes, Mikki James, Hymns.... I have been a Petty fan for over 20 years. I have seen you more than 50 times. This year, 2 concerts were cancelled in Phoenix. You finally returned on 10/8 but replaced ZZ Top with Chuck Berry. Enough said. I followed all your posts across the country but noticed you posted not one comment about your PHX show. A crowd who has supported you since day one. We put up with the first cancellation. Understood the second. But you really mailed in the concert on the 8th. Maybe you were still sick. Maybe you don't care. But we do. I am sure you won't even read this but I hope someone who cares about the fans will. We count too. And we still think you rock. Just a bit bummed.

My mom, my sisters and I have seen you three times at NYC (including this summer), and the Heartbreakers are AMAZING...you guys put on the best live shows of any band we've seen! What the heck is a Petty Fest? Obviously there are a ton of special guests, but what do they do? What are they there for? This is not a very good advertisement for this event because I HAVE NO IDEA WHAT IT IS!!!

I am going on the 28th. I'm just wondering what to expect. For $20 it seems worth it no matter what happens. I hope Tom shows up for his own party though, haha.
