Since its opening by Queen Victoria in 1871, the Royal Albert Hall in London has hosted some of the world's biggest concerts and events with the most famous artists on the planet. Yet over the course of its illustrious near 150-year history, the Albert Hall has never hosted Tom Petty & the Heartbreakers, an oversight that was rectified Monday night with an epic show that those in attendance will talk about for years to come.

Backstage before their set, Tom and the guys were loose, hanging outside the small cabins that served as dressing rooms and catching up with friends and family. On his way back from the stage, Lenny - who opened for the Heartbreakers on his first ever tour - made his way over to say hello and reconnect with the guys. Tom and Lenny shared a hug and a promise to stay in touch.

Not sure whether it was just a quiet Sunday night, if German crowds are just that polite or if they were so in awe of finally seeing Tom and the band live, but you could have heard a pin drop in the near sold-out O2 World when the first notes of "Listen to Her Heart" burst out of the PA.
