A month ago, we asked fans to submit any questions they have for the Heartbreakers' road crew. We received a number of great responses and now have the first installment of answers to those questions.

A number of fans asked about the tour production logistics, including a question from pcpettyhead about the trucks and busses. In this video, Mojo Tour Production Manager Ken Graham answers this question and explains the process of setting up for a show. We also hear how Tom and the Heartbreakers travel to and from the shows and see what happens when they come off the stage.

Whereas the Hollywood Bowl was surrounded by the kind of frenzied electricity that can only be found in Tinseltown, Saturday's show at Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in Irvine had a more laid-back vibe that permeated throughout the venue.

"We wanna dedicate this next one to all our ex-girlfriends in the audience," Tom said before he and Mike launched into the opening guitar riff of "Free Fallin'," eliciting a wave of screams from the 17,000-plus fans packed into the amphitheater as they held their lighters and cell phones over their heads. For a band that dreamed of playing this hallowed hall while they paid their dues back in the '70s playing five sets for fifty bucks just over the hill on the Sunset Strip, the scene must have been surreal.

Last week Front of House Sound Engineer Robert Scovill showed us his approach to mixing the band’s live sound as well as the state of the art equipment that he uses.

The sound the band hears on stage while performing is an equally integral part of the show and Greg Looper and Mike Bangs are the guys making sure that the Heartbreakers can hear what they are playing.

In the video below Greg and Mike explain what their jobs are all about.
