In a two-hour show that combined hits, covers and an uninterrupted chunk of their upcoming Mojo album, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers once again justified nearly 34 years of popular rock classicism in Oakland on Saturday night. Every new track evoked different early '70s sounds that predate the Heartbreakers' own formation, and most of their enduring FM staples rework styles that stretch back even further. But Petty and cohorts performed with both precision and commitment - a rare combination for a band of vets with a median age nearing 60.

Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers hit Northern California Saturday night, delivering a thrilling set to a sold out standing-room-only audience at Oracle Arena in Oakland.

Joe Cocker and his exceptional eight-piece band continue to impress, complementing the Heartbreakers' hard-charging rock set with a mix of soulful selections from their legendary frontman's celebrated career.

"Free Fallin'" provided a nice opportunity for an audience sing-a-long before giving way to a killer cover of Fleetwood Mac's "Oh Well."

Opening night of Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers' Summer 2010 tour! The band certainly did not disappoint the sold-out crowd at the majestic Red Rocks Amphitheatre outside of Denver, CO.

Joe Cocker began the festivities with a breezy and inspired set of hits including "Unchain My Heart," "With a Little Help from My Friends," "Feelin' Alright" and a cover of The Beatles' "Come Together," which he recorded for 2007's Hymn for My Soul.

The excitement and anticipation at Red Rocks was undeniable as the Heartbreakers struck the first notes of tonight's opener, "Kings Highway," off Into The Great
