There’s nothing like big amphitheater sing-a-longs.

Four songs into the set, Tom and the band played “Into The Great Wide Open” off the album of the same name released in 1991.

It’s been off the set list for the last several years but has emerged on this tour as an early-show favorite for the guys, especially when they’re playing to a big crowd of fans that know the words and sing along once the chorus comes around.

    “Into the great wide open
    under them skies of blue
out in the great wide open
    a rebel without a clue.”

So You Want To Be A Rock ‘n Roll Star (The Byrds cover)
    Mary Jane's Last Dance
    American Dream Plan B
    Into The Great Wide Open
    Forgotten Man
    I Won't Back Down
    Free Fallin'
Tweeter and The Monkey Man (Traveling Wilburys cover)
    U Get Me High
    Rebels
    Hard To Find A Friend
    You’re So Bad
    Learning to Fly
    Shadow People
    I Should Have Known It
    Refugee
    Runnin' Down A Dream

He could sing the "dumbass song" at The Gorge and it would be magnificent.. I was there and at the portland show a few days prior..  Sad its over but Ive got great memories, met great people, spent time with my lovely lady.. It was her first two times seeing Petty and first time ever goin to The Gorge for a show.. She is now a Petty fanatic!! The setlist in Portland was awesome, and The Gorge was great.. Ahhhhh once again im just crossing my fingers for another tour next year haha.. This band cannot be topped, cannot be compromised and will forever be true American Rock N Roll. Owwwww

Fault Lines rocks the new album.........It's the new "Runnin Down and Dream" and would kick ass

live in concert!!!.....Fans would go crazy!!

Flying half way across the country to see TP&HBs Saturday night in Chicago and would love to

hear Fault Lines and more of the new album, less covers.  The New Album ROCKS!!!

Somebody already pointed out the set list is incomplete, but it was a great night. Steve Winwood is always great to see, but last time they toured together he came out and sang a tune with the Heartbreakers, not so this time around.. The weather was great, the place was packed and the new songs rocked from the rumble of the guitars on American Dream Plan B to the Ron Blair's phat bass line on You Get Me High. I always get tickes on the left side of the state so I can watch Mike Campbell play and he was smokin' on Friday night. I don't know how many times I have seen them at the Gorge and it is always a great show but I think the Heartbreakers are playing better than ever.

This was a great show!  It was so fun doing a 360 when they played 'Into the Great Wide Open", 'Learning to Fly", and "Free Fallin."  You could just see that the people were remembering another time--good times--past and present.

Loved hearing 'You're So Bad", 'Running Down a Dream", and "American Dream B" and seeing the wind blowing Tom's hair---like on Kimmel-- and that hat.

Thanks for more great memories!

Hey guys! You left 'Baby Please Don't Go' off the setlist... I loved Tom singing about that 'crazy-ass woman' :)

Amazing show and fantastic energy from the band. We are still smiling.

I want to see you guys play The Gorge one day.  It looks like a beautiful place!  I love that you are playing so many new songs off the new album!  Please play Fault Lines in Tampa!  It's my favorite!!
