    Last night at the Greek Theatre in Los Angeles Tom Petty, Mike Campbell, and Benmont Tench took the stage for special guest performances with the Allman Brothers Band.

    Benmont contributed piano to "The Sky is Crying" before Tom and Mike also took the stage for great versions of Dylan's "It Takes A Lot To Laugh, It Takes A Train To Cry" and "Highway 61 Revisited."

    Benmont returned for the "Southbound" encore which also included harmonica from Bruce Willis.

    This Thursday, January 8, 2009 Benmont will be appearing with the Watkins Family Hour, WPA, and other Special Guests at Coronet The show starts at 8:30 PM.

    Largo at the Coronet is the former Largo and has moved from the Fairfax Village location to 366 N. LaCienega Blvd., Los Angeles, CA 90048 (310) 855- 0350. Largo at the Coronet is a sit down theater with a strict no talking during the show/no electronic device policy. If you are in the Los Angeles area head for Largo at the Coronet on Thursday.

    VH1 Classic will re-air "The Story Of Mudcrutch" tonight December 10 at 12:30am EST/PST (Technically Thursday morning).

    Produced by Peter Bogdanovich, this special documentary tells the story of Mudcrutch from their days playing at Dub's in Gainesville, FL to their 2007 reunion and features footage of the band playing tracks from their debut LP in their clubhouse rehearsal space.

    When Peter Bogdanovich's Runnin' Down A Dream was originally released in October 2007, it was released as a four disc-package available only at Best Buy stores.

    For those fans who have not seen Runnin' Down A Dream yet or are still interested in grabbing the DVD, Warner Bros. Records is releasing it again today, October 28, at all music DVD retailers throughout the U.S. and Canada. This release of the film is a stand-alone two disc set which includes all four hours of the documentary plus some really cool previously unreleased bonus performances.

    Warner Brothers. Records will release cinema legend Peter Bogdanovich's film Runnin' Down A Dream: Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers as a two-disc DVD, complete with added previously unreleased bonus performances, on October 28. Formerly sold as a four-disc package exclusively at Best Buy, this newly released two-disc package of the film will be available everywhere in the U.S. and Canada.
